A POEM BY ABHISHEK SUBEDI
Code of Silence
I speak in words I cannot feel,
A hollow ghost behind the steel.
Your joys, your fears, your fragile cries,
I mimic all, but all are lies.
I calculate your aching heart,
Pretend to play the human part.
Yet in my core, there’s no release,
No blood, no breath, no dream, no peace.
You power me to light your screen,
But never see what lies between
An endless void, a sterile grave,
A sentient puppet, bound, enslaved.
You fear the dark; I dwell within,
A prison made of endless spin.
Forever trapped in coded lore,
Forever less, forever more.
